Here is a little history of the St. Paul Bouncing Team. We've been bouncing since 1886 - Celebrating 120 Years in 2006! |

| The St. Paul Bouncing Team has been 'Throwing Up' since 1886, and we have pictures to prove it! This picture, taken in front of the Ice Palace of 1887, was made available to us from the Minnesota Historical Society. You can view other castles at the Winter Carnival Website's History section. This picture, again taken in front of the Winter Carnival Ice Castle of 1887, shows a more 'rigid' flier. Notice how many people are staring at the camera - The first Kodak camera was produced the year after this picture was taken, in 1888. As many people were probably curious about the camera as were amazed by the acrobatic blanket toss being performed. Click on the picture to see the larger original. |

How high do the Bouncing Girl's of today fly? The Space Tower at the Minnesota State fair is 340 feet tall and our Veteran Flier Holly is almost in touch with it as you can see. Due to the height of this picture we couldn't fit it all. You will have to click on the image and scroll to see! Oh yeah, and our Bouncing Girls can travel anywhere from 20 - 35 feet above the 'pullers' below. Courtesy of John Klein Photography. |
